- １． 又名錠光佛。 釋迦佛在因行中第二阿僧祇劫屆滿時， 剛好此佛出世， 他買了五莖蓮花去供佛， 又以頭髮舖地給佛走路， 佛即為他受未來成佛的記別。 智度論說： 「如然燈佛， 生時一切身邊如燈， 故名然燈太子， 作佛亦名然燈。」 ２． 見然燈佛條。
